Interprise Suite Training - Day 4 & 5

I'm so behind now in posting and recovering from the jolt of information Interprise struck us, even a geek like me can't digest, I pity those customers, there is so much to learn and use this product in several different ways.

Anyways on Day 4 more on what we did on Day 3, SDK training widened into creating shipment plugins exact same steps IS developers did to integrate the shipment module to IS, something interesting was happening in POS room, the Encampus guys were revealing their new assult products into the market, their new reporting engine its so dynamic we had ton of questions on how to use.... and some highlights

1. The report engine works seamlessly with Encumpus POS and IS
2. Report engine can plug into any third party database and provides you with reporting capabilities, ahh Crystal watch out.
3. It has capabilities to use Stored procedures, queries and also schedule when the report needs to be triggered and take action
4. In future it can also connect to web services and run reports on those kind of data too...

The kiosk intergation was neat, load POS on that box, configure and you are ready to collect data or payments, it can be stand alone or integrated with backend IS.

ASPDotNet Storefront, well we continued our think tank sessions with Rob who digged into XML packages and ran through e-Commerce sceanrios, should i mention in the end Rob said "No more suggestions looking at me" coz we couldn't resist asking can it do this, how abt that?

But they did take notes on what features to be added for future releases, one of the feature was to allow custom fields to show up without tweaking the code behind files, seamlessly from IS, allow to show custom stock status messages few to mention here ....

On thursday we hit Tabu dance club in MGM partyed all nite and wrapped up the event on friday, woke up late and was just socializing with IS developers and others.

I missed my flight for some stupid mistakes by the airport people, they moved the gate from D24 to D23 and they never bothered to post that info on their monitors and assumed everyone will hear to their great announcement, what they don't know is everyone has iPod or iPhone connected to their ears ...

Anyways after waiting for 7 hrs and getting frustrated bought a new ticket and flew out off Vegas.

What happens in the day stays with us but what happens in the nite stays in vegas ;)

It was an excellent seminar I attended since 2003 and a great location to attend the seminar.
