Interprise Suite Training - Day 4 & 5

I'm so behind now in posting and recovering from the jolt of information Interprise struck us, even a geek like me can't digest, I pity those customers, there is so much to learn and use this product in several different ways.

Anyways on Day 4 more on what we did on Day 3, SDK training widened into creating shipment plugins exact same steps IS developers did to integrate the shipment module to IS, something interesting was happening in POS room, the Encampus guys were revealing their new assult products into the market, their new reporting engine its so dynamic we had ton of questions on how to use.... and some highlights

1. The report engine works seamlessly with Encumpus POS and IS
2. Report engine can plug into any third party database and provides you with reporting capabilities, ahh Crystal watch out.
3. It has capabilities to use Stored procedures, queries and also schedule when the report needs to be triggered and take action
4. In future it can also connect to web services and run reports on those kind of data too...

The kiosk intergation was neat, load POS on that box, configure and you are ready to collect data or payments, it can be stand alone or integrated with backend IS.

ASPDotNet Storefront, well we continued our think tank sessions with Rob who digged into XML packages and ran through e-Commerce sceanrios, should i mention in the end Rob said "No more suggestions looking at me" coz we couldn't resist asking can it do this, how abt that?

But they did take notes on what features to be added for future releases, one of the feature was to allow custom fields to show up without tweaking the code behind files, seamlessly from IS, allow to show custom stock status messages few to mention here ....

On thursday we hit Tabu dance club in MGM partyed all nite and wrapped up the event on friday, woke up late and was just socializing with IS developers and others.

I missed my flight for some stupid mistakes by the airport people, they moved the gate from D24 to D23 and they never bothered to post that info on their monitors and assumed everyone will hear to their great announcement, what they don't know is everyone has iPod or iPhone connected to their ears ...

Anyways after waiting for 7 hrs and getting frustrated bought a new ticket and flew out off Vegas.

What happens in the day stays with us but what happens in the nite stays in vegas ;)

It was an excellent seminar I attended since 2003 and a great location to attend the seminar.

Day 3: Interprise Suite Training

Day 3 had multiple tracks or session to cover the breadth and depth of ERP software, that's how big an ERP training requires to get everybody up to the mark of using the software. My goal was simple jump into every session to get the feel of integrated module so here I go....

SDK Track - Visual Studio 2008 will enable off line operation of allowing users to download and cache data onto your laptop and work on by creating sales order and then hook up to your
internet connection and sync up your data with ADO .Net Sync functionality and this will be supported by IS shortly.

Marketing Track - SEO tips and email marketing on how to improve your web business, Jeff touched various marketing techniques such as social marketing, forums, blogs so it was another track of information for customers comes in handy

Application Track - CRM demo was breeze as it was demonstrated by Curt, did I say he is so organized and comes with this massive knowledge of IS and can teach any dummies, yeah he is writing Dummies for IS.

E-Commerce Track - The most exiciting track of all for us the e-Commerce demonstrated Rob and Ryan, was very interactive and hands on experience on how to code XML Packages and reuse them in storefront, understanding of skinning, ways to deploy IS website, Q n A, demos, talk and some jokes, very relaxed environment ramped the day.

If you are in Vegas and stayin at MGM never miss a chance to visit the shows, we did attend Cirque De Soleil "KA" and wow what a show, don't miss it, here are some pictures.....

Day 2: Interprise Suite User Conference

Day 2 was user conference opened to prospects, customers, resellers and integrators it was open ended session for users to view the powerful features IS had to offer for small and medium business along with Q & A which was the first half of the session highlights.

After lunch the afternoon session the audience witnessed the extended family of integrators namely:

Rob from ASPDotNet Storefront
Ezra from Premier POS
Kevin from B2B Gateway
and Curt, IS specialist

EDI Functionality:Integration with EDI gateway is made easy by plugging EDI module developed by B2BGateway.Net, now its click away to send your PO's to your vendors and recieve inventory products and stay integrated.

E-Commerce:If you like to stay on top of your world wide web you need e-Commerce, the one which is integrated with your back end inventory controls control what products are shown on your website and order full fillment and customer relationship all tied into one integrated eBusiness solution.

Point of Sale: If you are in retail environment and want to stay connected with your
powerful back end ERP application and let your cash registers sell your inventory faster through the retail stores and have them still be able to order from Web and pick up the products at store.... the musical symphony of ERP application.

All the integrated products are built on single mantra "customizable" , any user can spend couple of hours and customize the application whether its ecommerce template or designing your POS application or even writing plugins for Interprise its possible to customize your software to meet your business needs.
... the wow factor was demonstrated.

Everyone was invited to MGM Grand Buffet for dinner and what I noticed there was some similarity between the buffet and ERP software, seriously look at it this way in buffet you get all sorts of food to taste yet it cost you one price, you have several different customers tasting different recipes and I compare that with ERP which hosts several different modules and customers use it in several different ways for operating their business and yet its integrated as all-in-one software under one price.

...... My favourite was dessert vis-a-vis e-Commerce.

Interprise Suite Conference 2008 - Day 1: Meet the Resellers

The 2008 IS conference hit the road at MGM, Las vegas on Sep 15th hosting the reseller conference with almost 40+ resellers across United States and few handful of resellers from UK and Australia.
  • With new channel management initative geared up to satisfy the hungry small and medium business looking for integrated business solution, this was a good crowd to start with .....

The day starts with introduction from Mike and Gary along with few product screenshots and questionnaires, then they bring out the big guns 2009 product road map and pricing, Interprise is now going to introduce 4 different flavors of its product.

    Interprise Suite Express Edition
    Interpirse Suite Small Business
    Interprise Suite Standard Edition
Interprise Suite Advanced Edition/Enterprise (Product name yet to be finalized, should we can call it Interprise Suite ERP Edition)

Next slide the waves hit the shore, with new pricing matrix and how it will drive new leads and channel management and how small business, start ups, mid size business all can be on same platform to grow their business using Interprise Suite and this really captures the pain in the market and providing the solution through direct and involving VAR/Reseller channel.

Few gray areas need to be addressed such as pricing, market segementation, features in different versions, but truly a good move to capture small, medium and large business using the channel partners/VAR's.

It was 5:30 and the session ended and party begans in Vegas, we all ended up in Gameworks for dinner and some fun with toys amongst IS employees and other resellers..

Interprise Suite, rehearsal of music symphony

Interprise Suite, rehearsal of music symphony - With a week to go now for the first major conference since Taylor acquisition this year, we look forward to meet the new executive team and its members.
Since attending their first reseller conference in Los Angles in 2006 Interprise Suite has come a long way in building partners and the product itself.

In 2006 since we signed up as resellers, the software was still maturing its ERP features, by end of 2008 it will be musical symphony for small and medium business to run their integrated business. The base product is now seamlessly integrated with e-Commerce and POS modules, its capability to customize and allow solution providers to build integrated modules using SDK is just the right recipe for good eats.

We will blogging from Las Vegas in a week from now, so stay tuned for IS symphony.
