Inteprise Suite gets acquired by Taylor Corp

We are pleased to announce the acquistion of Interprise Suite by Taylor Corp.

Interprise Solutions has been acquired by the Services and Technology Division of the Taylor Corporation. The Taylor Corporation is Forbes Private 200 Company with over 100 subsidiaries and 14,000 employees worldwide. I believe this acquisition will be a very positive development for our reseller partners as it will provide Interprise Solutions with the resources it needs to be successful inthe marketplace.

What does this mean to small and medium business?
Well, since Taylor Corp is huge orgnization, it can bring some high level management team to coordinate the development and marketing process in order to streamline product features and be able to sell and support product and services.

Interprise suite is yet to dominate in ERP market space where NetSuite and Everest have been playing for last 10 years and it would be interesting to see how fast Interprise Suite can add some critical features and start capturing some market share, but at the affordable prices they have to offer, every small business owner can't miss to evaluate this product line.

Interprise Suite Webinar Oct 27th - User Role

Interprise Suite recently conducted 2006 Webinars to share with its user base its latest developments since the last conference held in August, 2006.

The webinar covered expertises from their development center with Ramil and his team from Phillipines and Tony, accounting expert from London and Gary in CA, US.

It is a great place to meet all users across the world on friday evening seeing and hearing voices of small business. In today's webinar they covered the "User role" demonstration how one can pick and choose a user and specify his roles and also user interface designed spefically for the user, which is powerful. You could create a simple data entry screen for a novice user who joins your company and not expose all the other un-wanted fields.

We also previewed the Plugin factory and accounting periods, Chart of Accounts enhancements etc etc ... Users were able to share their questions and thoughts, the webinar could be more user friendly by letting all of us be able to talk or chat and hear each other ... ..

Overall this has been productive to user base and look fwd for next webinar on Nov 7th ...

Day 3, 4 and 5 - Source Code training

Day 3, 4 and 5 - Source Code training

Well the crowd obviously reduced a bit from Day 3 as it was pure development and needed some exposure to programming as they unveiled their source code and the entire ISSI framework....

What I really liked about Interprise Suite is not about features, not about user interface, not about UCLA campus, nor the gals at the westwood but the framework that this guys built is worth it all my trip from Virginia to LA. I should say "Mission ACCOMPLISHED"

Ramil took over the entire session of covering the entire framework of how to really create plug-in's to Interprise Suite (ISSI) a truly plug and play technology for small and medium business. I hadn't seen a better framework in the ERP space, last time I boosted of technology was back when I was technical product manager at iCode Software (Everest) and now I should say Interprise has surpassed its comptetiors Everest, NetSuite and others ....

"Build what you want to build and here is the framework" was the mantra from the Interprise team, you can't go wrong, even if you do go wrong, they have smart developers like Ulysses, who will help us in fixing those errors/issues... We lay our hands, fingers and elbow into their code trying to build plug-in's, components, reports, forms etc...

You may be thinking only developers stayed back for Day 3 onwards, you maybe wrong there were some amazing people from all walks of life all the way from Australia, India, UK, East and West coast ranging from resellers to prospects who laid their hands and teeth's into this 3 day source code program....

Rob at ASPDOTNETSTOREFRONT dropped by on thursday and gave us glimpse of E-Commerce, the reason why I was still there to really see the power of this shopping cart since I built one during my iCode days ...

The beauty about this software, it is based of XML so it gives you flexibility to design any look and feel. They are still working out the finer details of integration with Interprise. They are so advanced compared to other e-Commerce softwares, the search engine friendly URL's makes it easy for spidering, tons of features, they even added the latest Google Checkout feature to their shopping cart...

I had fun driving around LA traffic "never go on Route 405" during traffic hours, hell no ... what I really like about this place great mexican food, people from all over the world, imported cars and the LA gals ...

Gary, his team and myself sat down for dinner (courtesy Interprise Suite) and shared some happy moments and talked about Uly his lead developer and his obsessions towards blondes ...lol ... Overall it was a pleasant trip to LA to witness the next big thing in Enterprise for small and medium business ... (until MS project green releases)

Signing off & all the best...

Interprise Suite Day 2 - Accounting, Inventory & all the real integration stuff

Interprise Suite Day 2 - Accounting, Inventory & all the real integration stuff

All the real stuff of integration was show cased on Day 2, it got exciting as Gary covered every bit of accounting from chart of accounts to company wizard settings. We were able to grasp the inventory features which were overwhelming compared to other ERP/Enterprise software, some of the features which are worth talking:
  • Item description is 1024 characters (every other software has limitation on this one)
  • Item matrix supports 7 attributes (color, size, fabric, style, I can't think more)
  • Drop your products into several different categories (how cool is that?)
  • Custom Kits has required, optional and multi-select for selecting components (e-Commerce customers will love this feature)
  • Item status can be active, inactive and phase out (cool.. )
  • Easy to re-arrange components in item matrix and Kits
  • Clone items single or multiple times, basically replicate/copy items ....
On second day, we were able to install the new build and we were surfing the features as Gary and his team demonstrated the product, couple of bugs here and there bothered us reminding that we are all part of windows .Net framework family .. lol ... Ramil was Gary's best friend giving tit bits on technical front and he had bought his humor along from phillipines to share with all of us ... I really like it when he says "the buutton" :))

After lunch, we covered supplier, accounting fundamentals and in-depth features, there are numerous questions from beta customers discussing their scenarios which kind of slowed the speed and they had to cover the topics till 6pm, time for me to head to Westwood for margarita as I had to meet my clients Viking Motorcycle over the Acopuca bar and restaurant along with my ERP partner Marty ....
